God, I wish I was friends with these people...

Well, congrats to Rainn, Jenna, Steve, Ben Emerson and Terry O'Quinn for their acting nominations at the Emmys. (I think Krasinki, Fox and Lily were screwed, but whatever) and I was pleased to see all the noms that Lost, Heroes and Studio 60 received, even if it wasn't in major categories.

Still in shock over the episode, but this guy does a pretty good job of articulating things...

That title has nothing to do with what's in this post; it's just one of my favourite quotes from That '70s Show and I thought would grab people's attention. 

So, I thought I'd start it out with my thoughts what I'm reading/watching/listening to for anyone who cares:

So, other than that, I'm just feeling pretty old, since my brother is graduating from high school Friday. We had his graduation party yesterday, which was fun (I had to laugh at how back-handedly derogative his cakes were, with messages like "You Made It!") but really hammered in how old I feel. My crazy super Catholic grandmother is coming in Thursday for a few days, which is always interesting. This time she's bringing her boyfriend, and I'm really tempted to give her a hard time for sleeping with a man who she isn't married too, but that would require me thinking about my grandmother sleeping with someone, and that's all kinds of ::shudders:: so, not going to do that. 

Also, the Kohl's Sarah works at better get their arses in gear and let her know she has the time off so she can come visit, because if not, I'm just going to be listening to blues records for the next couple of weeks. 

Sorry I was so rambly, but I hope everyone's summer is starting out well!

I'm really happy about this, because now they have a time when they have to wrap everything up, so it's not dragging out. I think this will be really good for the show as a whole. The lame part is only 16 episodes for the next three seasons, but they'll be uninterrupted, so that's nice. Overall, I'm really happy with this!

I have no idea when I'll use this icon, but it was too funny to pass up!

For those of you who missed it, last night's episode of Lost could very well have been the best episode of the entire season. I'm a total Jack/Kate man, but I have to give it up to Josh Holloway for an insanely human/touching/awesome performance. If you're a fan and missed it, you need to check it out.

How I've missed you....

So, I really hate today. Not only is it the four year anniversary of the day a good buddy of mine died in a car accident, but my mom just told me that one of my favorite aunt's is leaving my favorite uncle. She was going to tell me yesterday, but "didn't want to ruin my first day off," and she figured today would be "shitty" anyway. So, all kinds of fun on this end. Hopefully it'll end up okay - I'm going with a couple of friends to the cemetary this evening, and then we're going to grab some food somewhere - so I hope that'll cheer me up. Sorry for the downer, look for more postivie entries later on. 

P.S. I like this icon because it's a great Charlie/Claire moment, and because I need a Claire in my life to take my hand too (she's so hot!) =)

The lot of good, and I mean LOT, is that starromance14 is out of the hospital! I'm so glad she's out and feeling better; I was worried for a while there! That's a big thing to be thankful for. The bad is that I'm stuck at work instead of at home watching "Lost" like I should be. If someone at home doesn't tape it for me, there's gonna be hell to pay...

Author's Note: This little piece is taken from one of the deleted scenes on the first season DVD (specifically Scene 11: "Secrets", for anyone who cares to look). For some reason, this little moment just stuck with me, and in a way I'm glad it got cut out, because I woulnd't be able to write about it otherwise. I don't really think there's any spoilers, since this is a pretty old episode. I haven't had any betas on it or anything, so please forgive any errors you see. I tried to be true to the characters, but I fear that I may have put too much of my own crush on the lovely Evangeline in the story. Not really much of a post. Just had to comment on how freaking hot Evangeline Lily is. She's like one of the most gorgeous women I've ever seen.

Ordered the Joe Purdy CD "Julie Blue" today and I hear that it's awesome, so I can't wait for it to come in. That'll probably get me through the week.

Anyway, aside from that, not much else to add. Just waiting for someone ::cough cough Sarah:: to finish betaing me story so I can post it.
