Author's Note: This little piece is taken from one of the deleted scenes on the first season DVD (specifically Scene 11: "Secrets", for anyone who cares to look). For some reason, this little moment just stuck with me, and in a way I'm glad it got cut out, because I woulnd't be able to write about it otherwise. I don't really think there's any spoilers, since this is a pretty old episode. I haven't had any betas on it or anything, so please forgive any errors you see. I tried to be true to the characters, but I fear that I may have put too much of my own crush on the lovely Evangeline in the story. Oh well, we write what we know =)This is my first attempt at Lost Fic (normally I do "Firefly/Serenity" stuff), so I hope you enjoy this. I welcome comments, and I'd like to give a special nod to heartisbruised, even though she doesn't know me, for inspiring me to try my hand at Lost Fic with her lovely Kate/Jack piece.
